Description

For decades, we’ve all obsessed over the idea of having a chosen card appear at a freely-selected number in a deck of cards. We consider it the holy grail of magic, one of the most fooling and intriguing card tricks you can do. Christian Grace is delighted to offer his unbelievably fair and fooling solution: “Miracle One”.

The journey of “Miracle One” started when Christian Grace (Creator of “Level One” and “Inevitable Choice”) posted a video of his take on the Any Card at Any Number (ACAAN) plot online. Forums lit up with people suggesting that he must have used some sneaky editing or a stooge. Magicians begged him to release his handling, and now he finally is.

You can see a full performance in the trailer above. “Miracle One”. This is a truly fooling and powerful effect that you’ll love performing for everyone you meet.

Here is a quick summary of exactly how “Miracle One” looks to your audience:

Two decks of cards are in full view from the start. Your spectator shuffles one of these decks before selecting a card and placing it off to the side as a prediction. This selection process happens entirely in their hands and you never touch (or switch) the card they choose.

They then freely name a number and deal to it in the other deck of cards. The card they land on is turned over to show it perfectly matches the original card they chose themselves in the beginning.

Their card. Their number. A truly impossible moment.

“Miracle One” is a super clean and fair ACAAN-style effect that works everytime, with no difficult sleight of hand. It’s a true miracle that any magician can do.

Key Points

  • Their chosen card is always at their chosen number, every time
  • There is no difficult sleight of hand required
  • Multi-layered methods make this one of the most deceptive versions of the plot ever released

“Miracle One” comes with everything you need to get started. This includes two decks of cards. The blue deck is gaffed and the red deck is a normal deck of cards with a few extra cards that you save as replacements. The comprehensive video instructions walk you through every possible scenario, so you can start performing “Miracle One” with confidence right away.

”Miracle One” FAQ

Is “Miracle One” Easy to Perform?
“Miracle One” is easy. No difficult sleight of hand moves are required. There is just a bit of memory work that you’ll need to do. A helpful crib is provided if you ever forget or get lost during the routine.

Is This an ACAAN or CAAN?
We want to be completely transparent: “Miracle One” is technically a Card at Any Number (CAAN). But the super fair presentation makes it feel like Any Card at Any Number to your spectator.

They will never suspect you influenced them in any way. Since the prediction is forced on themselves in their own hands, they feel like they could have truly chosen any card. In fact, you could argue it’s potentially even fairer since they won’t be able to accuse you of doing anything sneaky with the cards.

Can This Effect be Repeated?
“Miracle One” is not designed to be repeated for the same audience. But, as it’s such a powerful experience, one that is strong enough to close any set, there really shouldn’t be any reason to repeat it.

Does “Miracle One” Always Look the Same as the Performance Video in the Trailer?
Yes. Their chosen card appears at their named number. You can perform “Miracle One” exactly as shown in the video. While the effect remains the same, the method you use to achieve it may alter slightly depending on the scenario.

The card selection process is identically fair each time. They really do overhand shuffle, cut, and pick a card without you touching the deck. In the super rare chance something goes different than planned, Christian equips you with an effective out that helps you get back on track without breaking a sweat.

As far as the dealing portion goes, the spectator will always have the cards in their hand as they deal to the number they chose. The only thing that changes is that some scenarios may require you to be the one that takes the cards out of the box and potentially deal a few cards first. It’s completely justified and done under the guise of showing your spectator what they need to do.

This is not a displacement of cards from the top to the bottom of the deck or bottom to the top. It’s much, much easier than that. It’s a minor difference that goes completely unnoticed. You can see for yourself by watching the second video above!

Is the Number Really Freely-Named?
Once again, this is where the difference between effect and method is important. To your audience, yes, they freely choose a number. But, this number must technically be within a certain range (the audience never perceives this though, thanks to Christian’s very clever construction of the effect).

This range plays an important role in selling the impossibility of the selection process at the end of the routine. It also does mean that some of the larger numbers technically can’t be named. But they won’t be.

Christian’s carefully-developed scripting involves practical and linguistic techniques to ensure you have a 100% success rate.

Can the Spectator See the Faces of the Cards?
If you’re asking about mis-pipped cards, there are none of those. Also, after the spectator deals the cards, you can ribbon spread the other cards face up. The specially-gimmicked deck makes it so your spectator will see all different cards.

Is “Miracle One” Similar to Any Other Effect on the Market?
“Miracle One” is a multi-layered effect using its own distinct combination of methods. That being said, it was inspired by some other great effects on the market including Mike Rose’s “The Grail” and Adrian Vega’s “SCAANDAL”. These creators not only gave their full support to this release, but added extra praise for Christian’s ingenious approach to this idea.
