Description
From a deck of cards, shuffled at will by a spectator, a card is taken at random and scattered in the deck, then found by the spectator himself at the number he thought of!
This is a semi-automatic card effect, in which a spectator freely shuffles a deck. Then he thinks of a number and removes that same number of cards from both the top and bottom of the deck; he memorizes the card now on top of the deck and places all the cards he just removed on top of it, after shuffling them together.
The magician, who had been facing away the whole time, now turns around and, taking the deck, cuts it several times in a vain attempt to find the card. At that point, try shuffling the entire deck with a chaotic “Upside Down” mix and, once again, make another futile attempt to find the card, cutting the deck randomly at four different points.
After reassembling the entire deck in a disorderly way, he does not give up and hands the deck to the spectator, asking him to stack the cards one by one on the table, stopping when he says, “Stop.” However, even before turning over that card, the illusionist senses that it is not the correct one and tries again twice more, each time realizing that it is not the chosen card, even before it is turned over!
Finally, he pretends to remember that the spectator has also secretly chosen a Number, which only he knows. Taking the deck, the magician now stacks the cards on the table, counting them one by one aloud: the spectator must stop him at his number.
Before turning over the card at stop, he will ask him to announce the name of his choice aloud, and the card will match exactly the one turned over!
Strengths:
- The deck can be borrowed and checked before and after the performance.
- No preparation is required.
- The effect is almost completely automatic.
- At the beginning, the deck can be shuffled and cut freely by the spectator.
- No “key card” is used, and no cards need to be memorized.
- All cards are present in the deck and there are no duplicates.
