We always seem to be looking at our devices- our smartphones, our
computers, our tablets. Yet what each of us uses these devices for is unique. Nobody else has the exact same browsing history as
you or uses the internet to do the same activities in the same order as you
do. And now, you can use a spectator’s random internet history to perform an amazing card trick!

Here’s what happens:

A spectator is invited to genuinely shuffle a deck of cards. The magician
hands the spectator a random pile of cards- 12, 14, 17, etc, and the rest
of the deck is placed aside. This packet is shuffled further by the
spectator. The magician introduces 6 categories- each one representing a
common internet activity. Among these are Social Media, News, Sports,
Games, E-mail, and Shopping. The magician explains that these are among the
most common things people use their devices for. Each of these 6 activities
has 2 unique questions attached to it- each question with several different
options for the spectator to freely answer from. The magician turns their
back or leaves the room entirely. The spectator mixes up their packet of
cards even further before selecting one, remembering it, and losing it in
the packet. The spectator then freely selects any 3 of the 6 activities and
answers the accompanying questions, which involves moving a card from the
top of their packet to the bottom, one card for each letter in their
freely-chosen answer. If they want, they can even pull out their actual
phone and look through their real internet history to decide which moves to
make! When these 3 activities are complete, the cards are mixed one last
time and placed on the table. Only now does the magician turn and face the
spectator again. Despite all of the free selections from the spectator and the
random mixing of the cards, the magician is, without touching the cards,
able to “hack” the spectator’s “internet history” and reveal their
thought-of card!

There is no force, no crimping, no duplicate cards, and the magician never
sees the face of the cards! The deck is a complete 52-card deck and does
all the work, and can even be used to perform other tricks both before and
after this effect! You are also free to customize the internet activities
to whatever you want them to be!
