Picture this…

An envelope is displayed, opened and shown to contain a single folded piece of paper. The paper is left in the envelope, which is left in full view. At any point in the show that the performer wishes, something genuinely random is named. Let’s say someone gives the name of their first childhood pet, and let’s say that it is “Cindy”.

The performer calls attention to the envelope which has been on display since the beginning of the show. Once again, it is opened and the single folded piece of paper is removed. The spectator who has been helping opens the slips and written on it is the name “Cindy”.

Yes, it’s just that clean. There is no force of any kind. No pre-show. Nothing is written down. This happens in real time.

Or how about this…

The performer displays a small envelope, opens it up and removes a single, folded playing card. There performer states that it’s his ‘lucky card’. It is replaced into the envelope and left in full view.

In the course of the performance, a genuinely random playing card is selected. The performer calls attention to the envelope which has never left anyone’s sight. It is opened, and the single playing card is gently poured into the helper’s open hands. The spectator unfolds the playing card, and it is the freely named card.

And again yes, it’s that clean. And yes, it happens in real time.

This is not a big book. It’s roughly forty pages. Not big at all. You can easily read it in one sitting.

But what is contained in those forty pages is solid gold.

This entire treatise deals with a single concept, along with several of its variations, that allows for mind-numbing miracles.
